Day 1 - Lao Cai Pick-up, and overnight train to Lao Cai.
Day 2 - Sapa From Lao Cai we drive to Sapa. Visit Love Market and surroundings.
Day 3 - Mount Fansipan
Fabulous trek on buffalo paths through terrace rice-fields. Visit of a Hmong ethnic minority village. Climb at an altitude of 1700m for lunch. We set Camp 1 at 2200m.
Day 4 - Mount Fansipan
Trek and climb through a forest of giant century-old pine trees, to reach an altitude of 2900m for lunch at Camp 2. In the afternoon, we reach for the top of Mount Fansipan at the elevation at 3143m with its spectacular panorama. Overnight stay at Camp 2.
Day 5 - Sapa
Slow and enjoyable descent of Mount Fansipan to Sapa.
Day 6 - Ha Noi  Train to Ha Noi.

Day 2 - Lao Chai - Ta Van - Giang Tai Chai
Fabulous trekking through minority villages: H'mong, Tay and the Red Dao people.
Day 3 - Bac Ha
Drive to Bac Ha market and trek to the village. Overnight train to Ha Noi.

From Lao Cai we drive to Phong Tho going up, through the highest pass of Vietnam, at an altitude of 1900m. After lunch; a 9-km trek to the H'mong and the Black Dao villages.
Day 2 - Tam Duong
A 25km-trek from Tam Duong to old Phong Tho, going through several minority villages set in a surreal mountainous region.
Day 3 - Sapa
Drive to Sapa for lunch and transfer to Lao Cai. Overnight train to Ha Noi.

From Ha Noi we drive to Hoa Binh and Man Duc. Short walks in the valley and visit of a Muong village. Drive to Mai Chau. Dinner, and overnight in a stilt-house of a Thai minority family at the village.
Day 2 - Mai Chau
From Mai Chau, drive to the village of Sam Khoe. Fabulous 6-hour treks, through several, scenic villages. Dinner, and overnight in a stilt-house at the village.
Day 3 - Ha Noi  Drive to Ha Noi.
